Follow Up.

Just to follow up on the last post. Jurnee's foot is not broken. She took the crutches to school the first day, then stayed home the following day to rest it. Then she has been crutches free since then. It was just a bad sprain. Thank heaven! Only the wall was hurt for the making of this blog.

Take it and love it...........AAAAAAHHH!!!

So, maybe you all remember Elder Wirthlins' talk about taking what happens and love it. Or, taking what happens and being devastated or frustrated or mad or....I could go on and on. Well, yesterday Jurnee had her friend over and they got into their sleeping bags and decided to slide down the stairs. They did it a couple of times, laughing and joking around. Then either Jurnee or her friend had the bright idea of going backwards on their stomach. So, Jurnee decided to try it first. She gets into her bag, and painstakingly turns herself around so that she doesn't slide prematurely. Then wheeeeee, she goes down, then CRASH! she doesn't stop on the landing like she should, and her foot hits through the wall! Then there's screaming and crying because she hurt her foot. We still are not sure if she broke it, I believe it's just sprained, but our neighbor was kind enough to let Jurnee borrow her crutches, so now Jurnee can't live without them. Russ is thinking that Jurnee is enjoying the limelight. We will see how it turns out.
This now gives me the excuse to change the bottom part of the stairs, if Russ is agreeable. Right now he is still too frustrated. When it happened I had some choices in how my reaction could be. I chose the calm one, I am very glad that I did too, now Jurnee doesn't feel like her whole world exploded. Just her foot!

The First Five

Ok, I jumped right on the bandwagon when I read this from Jamie, but didn't pay attention to the fact that if I did, I had to do it too. So, here it goes.

The first Five people to leave a comment on this blog will receive something made by me. That's right, Me. Myself. And I. However there are some limitations...

1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done this year. (might take a while)
4. You have no clue what it is going to be, a photo, something I have craftily put together, or sewn. I may bake something and mail it you. All I know is, it will be AWESOME!
5. *DISCLAIMER* I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. It may blow your mind!

Here is the catch, if you choose to do this. You must post this on your blog and be ready to make something for five people too.

When you receive the fabulous item I make you, you must post a picture of it on your blog (because I am so awesome, my AWESOMENESS must be spread around the bloggosphere).

Remember to post your mailing address otherwise I'll just give it to my neighbors. :O)

Birthday ideas....

Ok, so tomorrow is my hubby's birthday, he will be 32 years old. I have the hardest time trying to come up with something that will surprise him. Well, that's not true, I can surprise him plenty, but I do want him to be happy about this particular surprise. I am looking for ideas from all of you if you can find the time to tell me, of anything fun that I can do for him for his special day. I am thinking too that I can do it on a day other than his birthday. Hmmmm...... Help me out here.
